Ms. Marlana Jackson

ESL Coordinator and ESL Teacher (4-6)

Ms. Marlana Jackson grew up in Springfield, Illinois. In 2016, she graduated from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and is thankful to have received a classical education in the liberal arts. Some of her favorite classes included the History of the English Language, the Philosophy of Education, Entre Dios y el hombre (Between God and Man: Spanish Literature from the Middle Ages to the Present), and L’evolution de la nouvelle (The Evolution of the [French] Short Story). She likes post-it notes, peanut butter, and playing the piano, and she loves to talk about great books, big ideas, and words of all sizes. She is excited to continue sharing her love of the English language and using her ever-growing knowledge of Spanish as she serves the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Founders Classical Academy of Mesquite in the capacity of ESL teacher for a third year.
