Mrs. Jennifer Brown
Science and Math Teacher: Science (7), Algebra 1 (8), Algebra 2 (10-11)
Science Department Chair
Mrs. Brown was born and raised in Texas. After growing up in the Fort Worth area, she went to college at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene where she earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate. She has over twelve years of experience teaching in both public and private school classrooms, having taught and tutored at almost every level of mathematics, science, and literature ranging from 2nd grade through 12th grade. She eagerly looks forward to those moments of seeing the joy in a student’s face when understanding finally clicks. Whether it is through the reading basics of elementary phonics, the varying topics of junior high life science, or the intellectual rigors of high school Algebra 2/Pre-Calculus, she enjoys guiding her students through to success and toward the personal realization that anything is achievable with enough work and determination. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Brown loves spending time with her husband and two young boys, one elementary age and one preschool. She also loves to travel. Over the past 20 years, she has been to Israel, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, France, Italy, as well as many of the states around the country and hopes to one day add more international destinations to her list.
