Mrs. Hannah Alfred
Sixth Grade Teacher
Ms. Alfred earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Methodist University, with minors in Education and Business. During her time at SMU, she tutored for various after-school programs and worked for the first literary center in North Texas, getting the opportunity to meet some of the authors of her literary dreams. She was a member of SMU’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honor Society, and is currently a member of its Alumni Epsilon chapter. She then taught secondary ELA and was highly involved in all aspects of campus life for seven exhilarating years. Ms. Alfred temporarily left teaching full-time in order to pursue a Master’s degree in Biblical Literature from Oral Roberts University. Here, she was a Tutor for the Department of English, as well as being a Teaching Assistant for the College of Theology and Ministry. She became an academic member of the Society of Biblical Literature and the Society of Pentecostal Studies. Most importantly, while in graduate school, she met her loving, fun, and brilliant husband, Chris, a current PhD candidate at Asbury Seminary, and gave birth to her adorable, bright, and tenacious daughter, Corrie.
Ms. Alfred is a relational teacher who cares deeply for her students. She is enthusiastic and privileged to teach at Founders Classical Academy of Mesquite where the core virtues instilled in students help them discover the true, the good, and the beautiful.
