Mr. Daniel Carter

Assistant Headmaster of Upper School

Paideia Teacher

Mr. Daniel Carter was born and raised in Texas. He discovered the study of philosophy while attending the University of North Texas and graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2013. A couple of weeks after graduation, Mr. Carter began working on an M.A. in Philosophy at the University of Dallas. It was at the University of Dallas that he learned of the growing classical charter school movement and felt compelled to join in this effort.

Mr. Carter was part of the founding faculty of Founders Mesquite in 2015 and taught 6th grade for two years. He served as the Dean of the Upper School for the 2017-18 school year while teaching Ancient History and Logic. Mr. Carter is excited to serve as the Assistant Headmaster of the Upper School this year, and is thankful for the opportunity to teach Paideia and bring philosophy to our high school students.

Mr. Carter is a lover of music and has written, taught, and performed music for most of his life. His wife, Anna-Marie, is the Upper School Music teacher at Founders Mesquite. They just had a baby girl this September!
